LNG Terminal Wilhelmshaven GmbH (LTeW GmbH) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Uniper. Since January 2023, LTeW has been managing the first floating LNG terminal in Germany at the Wilhelmshaven site for the operating com-pany Deutsche Energy Terminal (DET), which was founded by the German government. The management covers the operational, technical and commercial areas. The FSRU is owned and operated by the Norwegian shipping company Höegh.

Our task is to strengthen the security of supply in Germany on behalf of the German government. The FSRU at the first LNG terminal in Wilhelmshaven will cover around 6% of Germany's gas requirements in the initial phase. This will compensate for around 11% of German gas imports from Russia (2021: 46 BCM according to BMWK).
